“Having worked with Giana on previous projects, I knew to trust the process. I always love seeing the initial material and swatch selections, but I inevitably go through a phase where I second-guess everything while it's coming together. Then, somehow, by the end, it all clicks—and I absolutely love the result. For this project, our goal was to maximize the function of a 500-square-foot extension that needed to serve as a playroom, mudroom, and laundry room all in one. Every detail had to work hard and every element needed a purpose. I’ve always loved design, but collaborating with Giana encourages me to make bolder, more unexpected choices that truly elevate the space. For this project, I wanted to embrace more color, and Giana delivered with a beautiful Bordeaux color for the laundry room cabinetry and an incredible mustard plaid fabric for the playroom. Those two selections became the foundation for the entire design, and everything else we chose to compliment them.”
